CD205 (DEC-205) a C-type lectin of family of macrophage mannose receptors (MMR) is strongly expressed by myeloid dendritic cells and monocytes; weaker by B cells and very low by NK, plasmatoid DC, T cells, cortical epithelial cells. Immunohistochemical staining of C0205 in tissue sections allows the quantitative detection of antigen-presenting cells.
